Portable Receiver Scanner small in size, it is in more efficient, the replacement for the MAYCOM AR-108 discontinued and MAYCOM FR-100 also discontinued by MAYCOM. It receives specific frequency segments between 25 and 174 MHz, AM and FM and the Air band in pitch 8,33 MHz.

PORTABLE SCANNER RECEIVER

The RX-5 is a portable lightweight and relatively small. It slips into a pocket without deforming it. The reception is not on continuous frequencies (this is also a characteristic of many other portable scanners) but is limited to specific segments and are distinguished by the type of radio traffic.

Serving the CB band and its surroundings (25 ~ 29.69 MHz) bands used by radio amateurs and PMR networks also called Walkie-Talkie (66 ~ 88 and 144 ~ 174 MHz), civil aeronautical band (108 ~ 136 MHz pitch of 8.33 Mhz), one that concerns us the most and that will allow you to capture the aircraft and control towers, and finally broadcasting frequencies WFM traditional (classical FM radio).

There are a total of 200 memory locations and five priority channels for direct access to the frequency management. Search options allow you to explore and scan between choosen bands limits or the recorded memories (frequencies you have chosen and which you prefer) with a speed of 25 frequencies per second sweep. To monitor a priority channel interval, this speed allows a scan in 2 seconds. Other features: squelch and disable function keys.

Performance and usage:

The RX-5 model Polmar differs little from other scanners, but it is especially for those who have not much experience in the use of this type of receptor and want to focus on the main VHF bands. This leads to a reduction in the number of parameters under control of the user, it is in fact a simplified application of the device. It should be noted, however, that this feature has been, overall a benefit based on the preferences of the user.

Polmar RX-5 is a portable receiver scanning of five bands in the low and high frequency VHF ranging between 25 and 174 MHz. The scanner is designed to receive two simultaneous communications bidirectional radio transmitters in European standard frequency ranges and in systems with AM channel spacing and narrowband FM modulation.

Band of the Air Worldwide between 108 and 136 MHz may be well received in the new 8.33 kHz channel system and of course with the system standard 25 kHz.
